You'll be joining Deutsche Bank Index Quant (DBIQ) which is the in-house Index Administrator of the Banks' proprietary indices.

You'll be joining Deutsche Bank Index Quant (DBIQ) which is the in-house Index Administrator of the Banks' proprietary indices. The team takes responsibility for the maintenance of existing and development of new index products working with internal and external clients to deliver innovative proprietary indices.

You'll have a strong technical background and proven experience in managing the delivery of complex software projects. You will be a key part of a global development team responsible for delivery of regulatory commitments as well as driving the index platform transformation to a micro-services oriented architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for delivery across multiple concurrent work streams
  • Daily management of external vendors that develop and support the platform
  • Assuring processes, team and vendors abide by Deutsche Bank policies and procedures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met
  • Building business and technical knowledge
  • Reviewing functional specification documentation in close working with engineering teams
  • Reviewing testing requirements including test plans, cases, data and interface testing between different applications. Works with engineers to resolve complex functional issues arising from user acceptance testing
  • Owning product backlog, sprint planning and drives release content throughout
  • Ensuring architectural changes (as defined by architects) are implemented
  • Identifying optimisation opportunities, releasing best value from our toolsets' available functionality

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in the delivery management of software delivery projects
  • Ability to successfully work with stakeholders from many business areas, backgrounds and nationalities to realise project milestones and deliverables
  • Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams, following both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Hands-on technical experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with experience of communicating technical issues to non-technical senior staff
  • A highly proactive self-starting ethos with strong customer focus and outstanding team skills, with the ability to effectively support colleagues
  • A strong work ethic, high standards of professionalism and exceptional problem solving skills
  • Experience of change control management
  • Familiarity with dev-ops processes
  • Financial Service Industry experience (beneficial)
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering or an IT-related discipline (or equivalent qualification / work experience)
  • Any relevant technical certifications
