About the Business
Aston Carter is partnered with a leading life insurer to support their quest for a Claims Consultant with IP experience, to join their Retail case management team. The organisation places an emphasis on understanding their members needs and by providing ongoing support and development to staff from their experienced team.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive management of claims which have been assigned as cases which will need active case management and proactive interventions to support their customers through the claims experience.
Duties
  • Holistic review and end to end management of a customer's case
  • Proactive communication with customers and associated case stakeholders
  • Development of tailored case management strategies and plans
  • Ability to put yourself in customers circumstances, manage sensitive conversations and reach mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Outcomes driven approach and positive attitude
  • Resolve complaints within timely fashion
Skills and Experience
  • 2 + Years of Group or Retail Case Management experience in Life Insurance (IP delegated authority preferred) or Worker Compensation
  • Experience in strategically assessing health related claims
  • Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong technical understanding of the rehabilitation process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to drive outcomes
  • Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
