Team overview
The Repo business within Global Rates manages the secured funding of the firms debt collateral, from developed market government debt through to credit, emerging markets & distressed debt in all major currencies.

The desks primary functions are offering funding and leverage to the banks key clients, financing the firms long/short position in the most efficient manner and most importantly, modeling, optimizing and transforming collateral as needed to manage financial resources/meet funding metrics.

The desk also makes markets in all sub1y European/UK government bonds & bills.

We lead the development of tools and products in the funding/collateral space to enhance trade logic as well as transparency back to stakeholders, project managing/coordinating/translating development need between Trading, Strats & IT.

Key Skills/Responsibilities

• Market making in short end EGB/Bills & managing material Primary Dealer obligations across all segments of the sub1y book
• Own the repo market/client engagement across 3 to 4 country segments within the HQLA business
• Help co-ordinate FO funding/collateral project work with key Strat/IT stakeholders to translate and develop solutions
• To identify and remove manual process with technology in conjunction with IT partners

You will have/be

• Proven skills in managing some of the associated risks, settlement, interest rate, cpy
• 3+ years of experience in a trading/collateral management role with a proven track record managing repo market/credit/settlement

• Good front-to-back product knowledge across fixed income in general
• Experience of Magellan (Apex), Kondor+ and TradeFinder advantageous
• Highly motivated & outgoing
• Able to work in a team environment and across geographies
