You will also be responsible for building awareness of the operations of Insurance Finance functions, data and systems and understanding of typical client issues in the market

Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Work as part of a mixed resource project team to delivery major Finance Transformation engagement
  • Support the team and contribute to the successful delivery of engagement deliverables and client outcomes
  • Provide structure and direction to junior member of the team on the day to day working on client engagements
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with client stakeholders
  • Facilitate collaborative and fulfilling working environments for the client staff on engagements

Business Development:

  • Contributes to the development of response for proposals (RFPs) to client opportunities
  • Support the management and leadership in developing innovative and client issue-led Go-to-market propositions
  • Build awareness of the operations of Insurance Finance functions, data and systems and understanding of typical client issues in the market
  • Seek to identify business opportunities on your day to day role on client engagements and where appropriate bring to the attention of the engagement lead / manager

People management & talent development:

  • Take on and support senior management with internal operational management responsibilities for the team – e.g. training, knowledge management, recruitment.
  • Support practice development initiatives and provide guidance to junior members of the team on these initiatives
  • Participate and contribute to skills and knowledge training, knowledge sharing, networking activities for the team
  • Act as informal career development mentors and coaches for junior members of the team

 

Skills

  • Previous Finance Transformation delivery experience
  • Proficiency in Accounting / Financial Management
  • Relevant accountant qualification including but not limited to ACA, ACCA, IIA, CCAB
  • Understanding of Insurance Finance operations and financial reporting processes
  • Awareness and interests in designing business, technology and data related solutions to meet client issues and challenges (Reporting Working Day Timetable acceleration, Financial production process and systems automations)
  • Business performance management and insights
  • Financial management
  • Awareness and understanding in one or more of the following areas (Insurance Chart of Accounts design, Finance systems architecture, General ledger and financial reporting systems)
  • Data architecture & integration
  • Structured & Unstructured data management approaches
  • Cloud based technology systems
  • Insurance Finance Data Model
